Hi! Nice to meet you. I’ve lived in the San Juan’s for over 20 years, having relocated from New Zealand. I love living here in the Pacific Northwest, and there is something particularly special about the San Juans.

I’m here to help facilitate in your healing journey. Perhaps you’re looking for a deeply relaxing treatment, a reset, nurture and nourishment, self care. Sore muscles, aches and pains, needing to de-stress?

I’ve always been a person who likes to be of service. It makes me happy to see my clientele receive what they are looking for.

We can discuss your desires and needs, and build a custom service specifically designed for you. Each of us is unique which means a unique treatment. Trained in Swedish, deep tissue, Esalen, lymphatic, Lomi Lomi, prenatal, couples (side by side), reiki, aromatherapy, hot stone massage, myofascial release, gua sha, sound healing, and more; we can incorporate any of these into a custom treatment.

Striving to create space and time for rejuvenation and renewal, utilizing techniques and methods to invigorate and soothe the body and mind, is my goal. CBD topical products are also an option, at no extra charge, just let me know if that’s something you would like added to your custom service.

In Esalen style massage; “An Esalen Massage is an inward journey rather than a therapeutic treatment. Through long strokes, a slow pace, and pauses, you are invited to return to your natural state of balance and alignment. Transformation occurs not through deep-tissue work but rather through an active participation between giver and receiver.”

I really enjoy working with deep relaxation, nurturing and restoring the nervous system, and returning to balance, homeostasis, and resonance.

I greatly look forward to meeting you and participating together, here’s to your health and happiness!

FOR MANY YEARS I have been intrigued by the power of loving touch. I have found that receiving this kind of touch - with no other agenda than to honor, to hold, and to nurture - helps me to get out of my mind and into the visceral feeling of my body, opening to levels of healing that were previously unknown or inaccessible. Touch conveys feelings and expressions that are beyond words, and that depth of communication is powerfully unique. Whether easing pain, cultivating pleasure, or simply holding each other in support and love, touch is extremely potent for me. Connecting with others in this way brings joy and purpose into my life, and I am so grateful I get to offer this in my professional practice.

The intention of my sessions is to encourage deep relaxation for the mind and body, which has the potential create a feeling of an altered state where deep healing can take place, as well as a greater sense embodiment. I also focus on soothing tension the nervous system, not just in the muscle tissues. Some of these holds and strokes consist of deep compressions to ease trigger points, while others tend to be softer and slower; the nervous system responds well to this kind of touch, and the muscular system often follows. Together, we bring awareness to what is calling out for attention in your body. Each session is wonderfully unique and is intended to support your greatest physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.

In the past I have been quite nomadic, traveling and working fluidly, always ready for the next adventure. However, Orcas Island has enchanted me deeply and I am amazed that I still live here, 2 years later. I am overjoyed to imagine that massage will enable me to continue to live here and connect with people on this island in this way. I am so grateful to have entered the world of massage, bodywork, and awareness, and I look forward to creating a unique session with you.

Sarah has 30+ years of study in the spiritual world, having been mentored by a Grandmother who started giving her Edgar Cayce and reincarnation books at the age of 12. Her traditional education took her down the left brain linear paths of study, culminating in a B.S. in Geology/Geophysics with minors in astronomy and physics. Following college, Sarah sought out mentors in co-counseling, women’s studies, Chinese medicine, reiki, tantra, and shamanism to re-connect with her spiritual healer DNA and right brained roots.

Her shamanic interests led to a formal course of study with renowned speaker and author, Alberto Villoldo, PhD. and founder of the Four Winds Society. Sarah completed the Healing the Light Body certification program and the Four Winds masters classes in 2009 and has been a practitioner since. She teaches Peruvian and Celtic medicine wheels, has a podcast titled ‘Celtic Priestess’, and also directs a non-profit focused on environmental stewardship through a permaculture lens.

Her skill sets include rites of passage, crossing loved ones over, blessing (for all occasions) ceremonies. Soul and destiny retrieval, parallel lives and multi-dimensional traveler, dream work and chakra cleansing are also tools of Sarah’s shamanic trade.

It is my delight and honor to serve you on your journey. Whether this is your first time receiving acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicinals, dietary or movement advice, cupping, or massage, I hope to provide for you a sanctuary of peace and rejuvenation, a place for your mind, body, and spirit to unwind and balance. I extend to you my deepest gratitude for making your health, happiness, and wellbeing a priority.

A little bit about my background: I earned my massage license in 2008, a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology with a focus in Health, Exercise Science, and Lifestyle Management in 2010 from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, and a Master of Science degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Institute for Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Honolulu, HI in 2016. In 2022, I graduated with my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health Sciences. In 2024, I became a nationally registered emergency medical technician. Out of all of the classes I have taken over the years, the one that has had the most impact on my life was a tai chi elective. Professionally, I have been employed by a small therapeutic massage business specializing in rehabilitative therapy, by luxury spas, and by myself. I am passionate about teaching and regularly conduct tai chi and qigong classes. I have had the privilege of teaching kinesiology and pathology at the Friday Harbor School of Massage in the past.

Please feel free to share with me any questions or thoughts- I will do my best to address them as thoroughly as possible.
